Choosing golf grips

Grips are the only part of the club you touch, and they wear out long before the shaft or head. When a grip turns shiny or hard, you start squeezing, and tension ruins tempo. We make three families of golf grips so every golfer can find a match: high-feedback rubber, hybrid half cord with cotton thread for wet days, and soft tacky polyurethane for comfort.

Most of our sets come as a 13 pack with the full repair kit: tapes, solvent, a hook blade and a rubber vise clamp. That is everything needed to regrip a bag at home in an evening. The small 2 and 3 packs match the full sets, so a replacement wedge or a new driver feels the same as the rest of the bag.

Size matters as much as texture. Standard suits most hands, midsize adds a little girth and reduces grip pressure, and oversize or oversize plus helps larger hands and sore joints.

Golf Grips questions

How often should golf grips be replaced?

About once a year or every 40 rounds, sooner if the grip feels hard, shiny or slippery.

What is the difference between rubber, hybrid and polyurethane grips?

Rubber gives the most feedback, hybrid adds cotton cord in the upper hand for wet-weather hold, and polyurethane is the softest and most cushioned.

Do the 13 pack sets include everything to install?

Sets marked with repair kits include tapes, solvent, a hook blade and a vise clamp. Small packs are grips only, or grips with tapes.
